The leather is made from natural hides. Its appearance will change in time as you use it. It might acquire a patina and color might change due to the oils from your skin and direct sunlight, further enhancing the natural look.
Cleaning the leather may affect its color. If you choose to clean;
- First remove it from your iPhone.
- Use a clean cloth with warm water and mild hand soap to gently clean the iPhone case. You can also use a mild cleaner along with a dry clean cloth. Leather cleaners and conditioners can change the color of leather.
- Keep your iPhone case away from prolonged intense sunlight, heat, and humidity.
- Exposure to water, oil, makeup, and dyed materials (such as denim) can stain tanned leathers.

Love this watch band. I had order a similar one from a different vendor but this is way higher quality-the leather is supple. Highly recommend.
I absolutely love the watch band. It did have a few issues that needed addressing. I use a Garmin Instinct, so this might not apply to all buyers. The generic watch pins have a narrow diameter, making them slip out with too much movement. Swapping for some thicker pins I had fixed that. The stitching on the underside was a bit rough, starting to give me a small rash on the back of my wrist. Rubbing the whole thing with mink oil softened the stitches and solved that. While running, probably due to the watch being a bit further from my skin, now it struggles to get an accurate reading of my heart rate. It improves by only wearing the outer, normal-styled watch strap. Those issues may mean this might not be the right watch strap for everyone. Despite all that, overall, I do still love the look, fit and feel of it!
